Tinley Park is an ideal location for Brookside Glen South. With a population of about 56,000, the village is located in the dynamic Interstate 80 corridor of suburban Chicago, less than 30 miles from the Chicago Loop. Highway access and two Metra stations make traveling and commuting around the area very convenient.
Malone and Moloney also build neighborhoods around a lifestyle. Brookside Glen South is near parks, walking trails, schools, recreation areas, golf courses, and forest preserves. There are also numerous retail stores and restaurants in Tinley Park. In fact, Tinley Park’s role in the southwest suburbs is similar to Naperville’s in the west. Even with its growth, consultant Steven Hovany of Strategy Planning Associates in Schaumburg says the village has been astute with their management of its development, going out of its way to not look like a sprawl community.
At Brookside Glen South, home buyers can choose from four home plans, with numerous standard features and customizing options. For instance, the Fane Deluxe, a two-story home with 3,265 square feet of living space and a full basement, is the largest home available. Brand New Lincoln-Way North High School to Serve Brookside Glen South Residents
Brookside Glen South, a new community of single-family homes being built by Malone and Moloney Construction in Tinley Park, has been highly successful. It combines quality homes that are value priced with an excellent location. The location includes easy access to area highways, two Metra stations that make commuting to Chicago a snap, and plenty of things to do—from shopping, to restaurants, to outdoor pursuits at area parks and nature trails. One of the biggest benefits of the locale is the excellent school districts that Brookside Glen South students attend.
Part of Lincoln-Way High District 210, which has been named one of the top five high school districts in the state by Money magazine. Now all Brookside Glen students will be attending a new school this fall—the brand new Lincoln-Way North campus. The new campus was built in response to the growth of the area. Located at 19900 S. Harlem Avenue in Frankfort, the new school is state-of-the-art.
Some of the highlights include a 50-yard, six-lane pool with 750 bleacher seats, five baseball diamonds, two soccer fields, an athletic facility with 4,300 seats, and an eight-lane running track. Other athletic facilities include another gym with padded walls for tumbling and wrestling matches and a 38,000-square-foot field house with basketball courts, an indoor track, and volleyball courts.
Other amenities of the new Lincoln-Way North that Brookside Glen students can take advantage of are a dance studio, band practice rooms, and an auto shop. For the arts crowd, there is a fine arts wing with gallery space, a photography lab and darkroom, and classrooms dedicated to pottery and painting.
The amenities lend themselves to a well-rounded education, where students have a multitude of extracurricular activities from which to choose. The school will be home to about 1,350 students, and will just be freshmen, sophomores and juniors for the first year, so seniors can finish at Lincoln-Way East where they started. Lincoln-Way North gives students the opportunity to build new traditions as the Phoenix.
The bells and whistles of the new $90 million campus are spectacular, but the quality of the education is what has made the district renowned. The school has 103 classrooms, special labs for science, orchestra, choir, fashion design, sculpture, TV, building trades, and more.
Brookside Glen South’s younger students attend schools in Summit Hill District 161. The district is proactive in helping students reach their full potential. For instance, the district recently spent time studying scientifically-based and researched curriculum in order to implement the best instructional practices in its schools.
The district is also keeping up with area growth. For instance, a new school will open this fall for 300 first through fourth graders to allow the four other district schools to have additional space for future growth and specialized programs. The district also recently added two gifted teaching positions, allowing the expansion of its gifted and honors program.
Brookside Glen South benefits tremendously with its location in these school districts, making the neighborhood perfect for families. The model homes also reinforce it as a family-friendly neighborhood. The homes have between 2,667 and 3,265 square feet, spacious enough for large and growing families.
The value of the homes is also an important consideration for families. Malone and Moloney is family-owned and operated, allowing them to price their homes at lower costs than bigger builders with large overheads. Priced from the mid 300s, families don’t have to bust their budgets to buy a large, new home in a fabulous school district.
Despite the value-pricing, the homes are full of amenities, which include a master-bedroom suite with private bath and walk-in closet; two-car attached garage; full basement; ceramic tile and deluxe carpeting; custom oak kitchen cabinets; and oak doors and trim. The models have 2.5 baths and either 3 or 4 bedrooms. Some models also have bonus rooms that could be used as a home office or computer room.
Brookside Glen South is a thriving community and one of the few places left in Tinley Park where you can build a brand-new home. With all the benefits of its location, especially its excellent school districts, there has never been a better time to build here.

Malone & Moloney made Our Dream House Come True!
Eamon Malone and John Moloney made our dream house a reality. Their staff walked us through our building experience with such ease. This was our third house purchase in our life and we had such high expectations of our desires, we assumed the process would be horrifying. However, right from the start Connie and Kris, (sales managers) made the process easy with their complete knowledge and helpful suggestions to all of our needs.
The process continued quickly with the assistance of Beth and Debbie (building coordinators). All of our questions were answered and a multitude of choices given once again to fulfill our needs. Suggestions and a sincere concern for our happiness were always their top priority. Our Dream House was completed BEFORE schedule and the construction crew managers, John Moloney, Jr., and Kevin Malone, worked with our many construction changes with complete understanding and never voiced a complaint. We felt they too, were genuinely concerned with our happiness in the construction of the house.
Even after occupancy, the staff completed minor adjustments quickly and happily.
Finally, the lots are perfectly located for all ages. Churches, schools, employment, shopping, parks, walk trails, interstate and local highways are all close. We love the great variety of restaurants too.
Thank you Eamon and John for making our Dream House come true!

Home builders cherish reliable subcontractors
Subcontractors, important members in the teamwork of building a home, are hired to perform different parts of the construction process. For example, the builders bring in a subcontractor for an area survey of the lot before construction even begins.
Malone & Moloney, Brookside Glen South developer has been building homes in the southwest suburbs for more than 30 years. Over the years, they’ve cultivated longstanding loyalty with many subcontractors.
Dave Grzetich of DND Electric, a Malone & Moloney subcontractor, has worked for the builder for two decades. “After 21 years of working for them, Eamon Malone and John Moloney are good friends [of mine],” Grzetich said. “This type of relationship between builder and subcontractor results in a better quality home for the customer,” he said.
Sheet metal has worked with Malone & Moloney since 1969. “Eamon and John are two of the hardest-working guys I know,” Witzenburgh said.
Ask a home building executive, and he or she always will note the importance of reliable subcontractors. “We’ve used most of the same subcontractors for many years,” Malone said. “We’ve worked with the plumbers for 24 years. Those kind of lengthy relationships speak for themselves. We keep going back to the people we know will get the job done the fastest and, of course, the best.”

Two generations of builders help build successful Brookside Glen South
Eamon Malone and John Moloney teamed up to build houses together soon after each arrived in the United States from Ireland more than 30 years ago. They formed their own construction company, Malone and Moloney Construction Company Inc., and have been building houses together ever since. Their latest project, is Brookside Glen South community in Tinley Park.
Brookside Glen South, has four models of spacious
single family homes, has been an especially rewarding experience for Malone and Moloney in another way as well. Both men now have their sons working with them.
Eamon Malone’s son Kevin Malone has been learning the home building trade since he was eight years old when he started hauling lumber for his father’s construction company. Today, Kevin’s job involves everything from obtaining permits to completing the drywall before handing over the home to John Moloney, Jr. for completion.
The building process is something that has always interested the junior John Moloney, and he works on site each day. Working on the framing of the home and seeing a house go up is one of his favorite aspects of developing homes and neighborhoods. “You see the home begin to take shape. You have this foundation and nothing else, and then all of the sudden you can see the home forming right before your eyes,” said Moloney.
Kevin Malone also loves watching homes take shape, and he knows about everything that has to happen so that the home can be built. “A lot of work goes into getting the houses started,” he said. This often includes meeting with the homeowners before building begins to talk about the home, like the best way to situate it on the chosen lot, obtaining a permit from the village and having the lot excavated. He also oversees having the concrete poured, the steel set, and the foundation waterproofed, among other things.
Malone and Moloney is known in the area for its commitment to customer satisfaction. “We like to treat our customers as we like to be treated,” stated Eamon Malone. His son agrees. Kevin Malone is always there for the homeowners, whether they need to meet with him early in the morning on their way to work or in the evening to discuss any questions or concerns they might have about their home’s construction.
John Moloney has also learned quite a lot from his father; he credits John Moloney, Sr., as being a major influence on the philosophy he has developed for his work. “Treat everyone like you’d like to be treated and listen to what your customers want are two of the most important values that my father has instilled in me,” said Moloney.
The family-run business has other benefits for home buyers at Brookside Glen South. Because they’re a family firm, Malone and Moloney doesn’t have layers of management and the huge overhead that many large building corporations do. This means that homeowners at Brookside Glen South get a higher quality product, because of the attention and commitment to each home, and they get it at less cost, because of the lower overhead.
Brookside Glen South is now in its second phase of single-family home building. Malone and Moloney offer four home designs to choose from with many options also available.
The homes, which have between 2,400 and 3,300 square feet of living space, start from the mid $300,000s and can be viewed on the Web at www.maloneandmoloney.com.
